Molecular Biology and Immunology

Location: Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA, USA | Full time


  • The successful candidate will have broad hands-on experience in molecular biology and immunology to support drug discovery for various indications including anti-infectives, autoimmune diseases and cancers

  • Responsible for genetic manipulation and DNA cloning using modern techniques, microbial growth and process development for generating & evaluating microbial products

  • Conduct cellular and immunological in vitro and in vivo studies (Cell isolation, FACS, gene expression profiling, cytokine determination, xenograft, transgenic animals)

  • Manage collaborations and contract research organizations to evaluate drug candidates

  • Plan experiments, collect, analyze and interpret datasets, prepare reports & presentations

  • Evaluate and propose cutting-edge technologies


  • PhD or MSc with 4-years industrial experience in immunology, cell biology & microbiology

  • An innovative, and self-motivated scientist with a strong desire to identify novel microbiome-derived therapeutics for various therapeutic indications

  • Familiar with molecular cloning, and in vitro & in vivo models of immunology/cell biology

  • Experience in microbiome, infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases and cancers

  • Comfort with ambiguity and complexity required; open to change and learn, and able to work across multiple therapeutic areas in a matrixed company

  • Champion for innovative ideas

  • Sense of humor a must

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
